Disloyal

Although Meech and Charles’ relationship was estranged, this episode focused on their bond through music…

When Meech arrived at Stacks’ dope spot, he was shoved out of the way by a crew of fleeing robbers. He drew his weapon and fired on them but missed…

Meech confronted Angel because he was ambushed at the meeting he paid her to set up. She was oblivious to the malice. While at Greeny’s strip club, Meech inquired about Jack the Rapper. The Atlanta native told him that it was a Black music convention that took over the entire city. It is a way for musicians to elevate their skin in the game.

Stacks was livid that the MKs were gunning for him. Meech felt their crew needed more unity and manpower to battle the MKs. He pawned his jewelry to pay his crew. Everyone appreciated the gesture except Stacks. Meech planned for them to attend Jack the Rapper to network with dealers around the city. Stacks disagreed with Meech’s plan and parted ways.

Meanwhile, Markaisha called Terry with a change of heart. He swerved her sexual advances to focus on his family and drug business. Terry faced issues with his crew, as they were loyal to Meech, and he had moved to Atlanta. So, half of Terry’s crew jumped ship for Henrietta’s crew to make more money. Terry planted one of his loyal goons to spy on Henrietta, updating him about her moves.

Saved By an Ex-Partner

Bryant reported to Henrietta for illegal drug transportation duties, suggesting a vehicle that would never be suspicious… an ambulance. However, Terry’s crew caught wind and ambushed the EMT vehicle, killing the driver! Bryant had a shootout with the goons.

Detectives Jin and Amberson were surveilling and intercepted. Jin was shot in the shoulder, and her ex-partner, Bryant, killed the robber before he could murder her. Then Bryant drove off! Henrietta was livid at the robbery and the driver’s murder, vowing vengeance.

Terry learned that Bryant, who is now with Henrietta’s crew, thwarted his planned ambush. Plus, cops were tailing them, making them targets.

False Allegations

A social worker was called on Terry and LaWanda, putting their son at risk of being taken by the system. LaWanda suspected Markaisha’s doing.

Terry accused and confronted Markaisha about calling child protective services. She was applauded for the allegations.

Later, Terry showed Markaisha the new house he purchased, and she was impressed, trying to have sex with him, but they were interrupted by a visit from Lucille. His mother warned him about the severity of child protective services implications.

Huge Favor

Meech wanted to buy a new house in Atlanta but needed a clean name to secure it. So, he called his father to ask for a favor. He flew him first class to Atlanta. Meech impressed his father with the acoustics at Duffy’s house, luring him into the big ask.

Meech got all of the necessary paperwork forged, fronted the cash, and only needed Charles’ signature to buy a new home. Charles didn’t agree because it was illegal, so he declined.

Back in Detriot, and since she and Charles split for his infidelity, Lucille was tempted to hook up with her high school fling, Dr. Maurice Montclair. Lucille met Maurice for a lunch date, and he offered to donate to her church. He wanted to be a part of her life.

Meech met J-Pusha from St. Louis to expand his drug connections. Ironically, he met a young Tupac (portrayed by Mason Douglas.)

Meanwhile, Glock (portrayed by Bechir Sylvain), the leader of the Miami Killers rival gang, approached Charles to network. Glock revealed himself to Meech in a standoff. Then, a brawl broke out! Charles fought to save Meech. Then, The Red Dogs flooded the convention in full riot gear.

After the ordeal, Meech convinced Charles to sign for the house so he would have a safe haven in Atlanta.

Tempting Offer

Meech connected the dots, figuring Greeny set him up to be ambushed by the MKs. Meech confronted him, severing their deal to clean his dirty money through Greeny’s club, and took Angel with him. Greeny threatened their beef wasn’t concluded!

Bryant visited his son in juvenile detention, and he was attacked.

Later, Terry met with Bryant and offered to hire him as a former cop. Bryant declined his offer.
