Warning… Spoilers below!
On Yellowstone Season 4 Episode 10 season finale, Beth realizes that she has to make amends with John. She decides to ask John if she can stay at the ranch if she clears up her act.
The two end up burying the hatchet, she decides to press ahead with her own plans. She visits Riggins in jail and discovers that Jamie had told Riggins the person that had hired him to attack the Duttons.
Having found this out, she decides to confront Jamie. And she tells him in no uncertain terms that she will take legal action against him, and if necessary, inflict some serious injuries.
But before she can make plans to do just that, destiny has other plans for her. Caroline Warner goes head-to-head with Beth and shows her a media headline about her role in the airfield protest. Caroline discovers that Beth had tipped off the press over the authorities using heavy-handed tactics against the protestors, which would then allow the media to get a juicy story.
As such, Beth was deemed to have broken her contract and could now face time behind bars. In doing so, Caroline tells her that she will take over Yellowstone, including John’s ranch. So much for her plans.
And yet, that only goes on to expedite her love life. She decides to kidnap a priest and marry Rip. So much for thinking things through.
Meanwhile, Jimmy has had no choice but to return to Yellowstone. He brings Emily to the ranch and introduces her. The latter then comes across Mia. They end up in a fight over who should be with Jimmy.
Having been released by John, Jimmy goes back with Emily and lives his life. So much for Mia. As for Kayce, we learn more about his connection with his ‘wolf’ side. He ends up conducting a ritual in which he sees his brother Lee and Avery. The wolf then turns into a girl, who takes Kayce to two paths. He looks at both paths, but both have disastrous consequences.
Once the vision is concluded, Kayce tells Monica that the future looks very bleak. Much in the same way, John’s attempts to patch things up for Summer Higgins take another hitch.
The judge presiding over the case wants to lay down the law. John’s attempts to reduce the sentence fail, as Summer is handed 15 years in jail! But after having an emotional talk with the judge, the latter decides to reduce that time.
As for Jamie, he must decide where his loyalties lie. So what does he do? He ends up killing Garret himself. Once that is done, he takes Garret’s body to the train station to hide it.
But in doing so, Beth photographs him. She now has something on him. His plans to run for Governor look dead and buried. The future of the Duttons is now in the balance, with season 5 promising to reveal all.
