Tom Cruise stars in the sequel hotshot fighter pilot movie Top Gun: Maverick. It sets more than three decades later. And we see his passion for flying is the same. In the trailer we see Ed Norton’s character lecturing him- stating he should be at the rank of a 2-star Admiral. However, his rank is only a Captain. The first trailer does not reveal much of the plot but we can assume his reckless attitude and cocky demeanor kept him from climbing the bureaucratic ladder.
