The second half of Showtime’s “most-watched season yet on streaming” is finally back! The Chi season 6 episode 9 “The Aftermath,” released on Friday, May 10, 2024! We’ve been waiting on it since September 22, 2023.

Based on the synopsis, Victor and Emmett grapple with the aftermath of their choice to confront Douda. Kiesha is concerned about her family’s security, while Jada and Darnell work to safeguard everyone. Meanwhile, Alicia calls in a favor from Bianca.

Here’s a quick summary of the drama that unfolded in this episode…

Victor went to Douda’s, seeking to murder him, but ran into Bakari, who calmed him down. Telling him that if he killed Douda, he would become an evil man.

Meanwhile, Emmett’s restaurant was shot in a drive-by shooting in retaliation for setting Douda up.

Douda sent his goon Zay to send warning shots to Emmett but was upset they shot up Emmett’s restaurant, which he’s invested in. He mandates he wanted Emmett dead!

Although Bakari worked as one of Douda’s goons, he refuted his boss’s actions because Papa was at the restaurant when it was gunned down.

Rob’s mother, Alisha, knew someone would return to finish Rob off, so she secretly moved him.

Emmett’s parents were concerned about his involvement, so he decided to reason with Douda to end the beef.

Douda reinforced that Brittany spies on her brother Bakari and spends less time with Jemma. He also sent Zay to invest in Jake’s clothing brand.

Jake tells Victor about the investment, and Victor is upset at his little brother for making the same mistake as him by accepting Douda’s money.

Brittany grew closer to Jemma, and it opened doors for musical collaborations with Maisha.

Emmett spoke with Zay, encouraging him to take Douda out and become the boss. Zay resisted and put a gun to Emmett’s head! Emmett stood tall and talked his way out, waiting on Douda.

Alisha’s friend, Bianca, visited and managed to broker business with Tiff. Alisha wanted to cash in her favor with Bianca, seeking to set Douda up!

Jenna spoke with Tierra about kissing another girl. Tierra assured her that she was exploring. Jemma felt she should tell Jake…
