Meek Mill Championships album recently released on Tidal. There were a few tracks released early including “Uptown Vibes” featuring Fabolous and Anuel AA. And off the cusp of recent EP Legends Of The Summer, Meek’s “Dangerous” track featuring Jeremih and PnB Rock was recently certified Gold by the RIAA. The anchor song, however, “Oodles O’ Noodles Babies” is a high-pitch dystopian description of dysfunctional family structures often found in African American communities. Fathers in jail or dead. Mothers either on drugs or struggling to raise youth. Police brutality rampant as youth have no choice but to follow criminal suit… Other collaborators include Jay-Z, Drake, Cardi B, Rick Ross, Future, Ella Mai and more. Meek is on a mission in his music and is using his unfortunate situation to allow his platform to take on the uphill battle of prison reform. Since his legendary freestyle on Funk Flex, Black Thought has been on fire- from his first solo EP Streams Of Thought to his most recent features. Most notably on “Cojiba” from 9th Wonder’s Jamla Is The Squad II. Tariq Trotter returns with Streams Of Thought Vol. 2 assisted by the one and only Salaam Remi. Trey Songz released two new mixtapes called 11 and 28 on his birthday 11/28. Eleven is a ten track EP which features mostly the R&B singer’s solo vocals. There’s only a few collabs from Teddy Riley, Ty Dolla $ign and Tory Lanez. Twenty-eight is also a ten track tape which offers a ton of features from Chris Brown, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Jacquees, Dave East, Jeremih and more!
