On NCIS Season 19 Episode 19 “Brat Pack”, the Monizes come home early after their flight gets canceled to find an intruder inside their house.
Teenage Party
The team discusses how they will be spending the day off. There have been no cases and everyone has plans and is leaving early.
Parker interrupts their plans. He needs the team to help him investigate a break-in in Norfolk. There have been a string of break-ins lately and Knight gets a call that there is a break-in happening right now.
Parker and Knight arrived to find fresh blood, gunshots, and screams. They head to the basement and find it’s a teenage party.
Hackers
The team is upset they all missed out on their plans because of a bunch of teenagers breaking into houses to party on base.
Palmer tells the team the blood they found in the house was from a nosebleed from one of the teenagers. Parker tells the team there have been 6 break-ins in the past 3 months at the Norfolk base. Someone is hacking into the security for the base to unlock the houses.
One of the kids from the party, Noah, is still wearing the same shirt as the one he wore breaking into the Monizes’ house. Noah’s mom told Parker that Noah is too stupid to hack the base’s security. She tells Parker it has to be Noah’s friend Teagan.
Explosion
McGee questions Teagan about her hacking skills. Knight comes in and says another break-in occurred while all the teens were in custody. Someone has Teagan’s algorithm to hack Norfolk’s base security.
Knight and Parker arrive to investigate the new break-in and an explosion blows up the house as they arrive, knocking Knight and Parker backward.
BratChat
Carl Tang was inside the house during the explosion. Knight finds the detonator inside the TV and the remote was the trigger. McGee thinks Teagan is a victim and not a terrorist.
One of Carl’s friends tells Knight, that Carl should have had a robot in his house that recorded everything.
McGee goes back to question Teagan about Carl. He explains someone used Teagan’s algorithm to break in and place the explosive device inside Carl’s house. Teagan tells McGee that it could be Jayden, her boyfriend she met on BratChat.
More Teenagers
Knight hasn’t been able to find Carl’s recording robot. Parker asks what the motive could be. Knight explains Carl should have had a safe.
Hines shows up with info on someone selling Carl’s recording robot. Torres and Knight show up at the buy spot and 2 teens try to run.
NCIS: Hawaii’s Ernie
Torres and Parker find Carl’s safe in the trunk of one of the teen’s cars trying to sell Carl’s robot. The kid is Noah’s half-brother and saw Teagan’s invite to the party at Carl’s house.
Knight finds out that Carl would be in charge of where Teagan’s mom would be shipped off to. Tegan’s mom was about to get shipped off to Lativa. Parker and Knight agree that this could be the motive. McGee refuses to believe it.
Palmer tells Parker that the shrapnel found in Carl’s body is almost 100 years old. It confuses Hines and himself. Palmer video calls Ernie from NCIS: Hawaii to help explain the shrapnel. Ernie explains the shrapnel is from World War 1 era. Palmer doesn’t like it when Ernie is so curious about and excited for a chance to see Knight.
Inside Knowledge
McGee goes to Teagan’s house to talk to Teagan again. While there, Parker calls McGee and tells him to bring Teagan back in for questioning. Parker explains Teagan’s mom, Melissa, specializes in 1950s-era bombs. Teagan could have had inside knowledge.
McGee and Teagan’s uncle rush upstairs to Teagan’s room. Teagan is gone!
Catfished
McGee and Parker video chat with Melissa. Melissa tells McGee and Parker that Teagan has never met Jayden. Hines informs the team that Jayden doesn’t exist. He is a catfish! Hines tells them the catfish is actually 40 years old and started talking with Teagan at the same time as the break-ins started.
The team finds deleted messages on Teagan’s phone that shows Teagan giving the catfish the algorithm.
McGee and the team find Teagan waiting for Jayden. McGee talks Teagan into helping the team find and take down Jayden. Teagan blows Jayden’s phone up with text messages until Torres and Parker can hear the dinging and locate him.
Jayden is really Jason, a man who Carl helped put away for seven years for a hit-and-run accident. Carl was the key witness. Melissa shows up and is so happy Teagan is safe.
