Coins For Love is a sequel to the popular movie Coins For Christmas. It premieres on TV One on Sunday, July 19th, at 8 pm CT. The film continues to follow the blossoming yet unique relationship situation of Madison Morris, portrayed by Essence Atkins.
In Coins For Christmas, Madison was fired from her job three weeks before Christmas. To complicate matters, the IRS garnished all of her money. She’s now a desperate single mother who takes on a chauffeur job to make ends meet. Her client is a retired football player Alec Darby (portrayed by Stephen Bishop.) At first, their working relationship is rough, but they forge a friendship as they learn about themselves and teach each other how to be better people.
Coins For Love Movie Plot
The sequel returns Madison in another financial pickle. See, she starts her new dream job with a publishing company, yet she finds out she must complete a probation period before receiving her full salary. Raising two teens, with a new job not yet paying, she takes on a side-gig with her former employer, Alec Darby. Now that she is his personal assistant, she finds herself torn between an old flame and a new love interest.
Alec, too, has ventured into his ideal job at a national sports network. But he clashes with his co-host Demarco (portrayed by Kendrick Cross.) Prompting him to require the help of his new assistant. Though their working relationship sparks juicy flames, the sprinkler system dousing their fire are their Exes!
Alec’s ex-fiancée reemerges into the picture as well as Madison’s ex-husband. The plot in this romantic drama thickens! Will the two be able to foster their budding relationship and withstand their Exes? Check out the trailer for more!
