The team rescued several passengers. Ritter was still inside and found a frightened police officer traumatized from witnessing a person burn to death. The firefighter had to transform into a drill sergeant to get the cop to move!

The crew was struggling with dousing the fire until the proper chemical arrived to extinguish it.

Inadequate

Back at the station, Pelham wanted to clear the air with Kidd since he got her job. She told him she heard he was a good choice since she stepped back but she’ll have to evaluate him for herself.

Cruz noticed a pet inside a car and grabbed it. The pet was a crab named Hermie. He tracked down the preschool and left a message for them to pick him up. The guys gave him a hard time about it though. A teacher, Jessica, came to pick Hermie up and Cap hit on the woman- stealing Cruz’s reward joy. They kept giving him a hard time about the crab.

Brett and Kidd chatted about their respective relationships. Sylvie was finally traveling to see Casey. Later on, Stella wanted to spend quality time but Kelly wanted to meet everyone at the bar to celebrate.

Ritter was concerned about the rookie cop he saved, Officer Tyler Dillon. Trudy (from Chicago P.D.) stopped by to tell him that the cop abruptly quit without explanation. Later at the bar, Ritter got a note from Dillon and he rushed out to meet the man.

Ritter got to the man’s place and barged in. He felt the note was a suicide note and threatened to admit him for psychiatric evaluation. Dillion told him it was to thank him for being the hero because he felt he wasn’t. He always wanted to be a cop and felt inadequate for his frightened performance. Ritter shared his own tale of being terrified as a rookie firefighter and reassured the man he needed time to prove himself.

Do You Want To Marry Me?

The next morning, Kelly and Stella make love and she wanted to cuddle but he needed to leave for the gym…

Chief Boden brief other high-ranking bureaucrats about their heroic potassium fire extinguishment. Thereafter, he had the harsh pleasure to meet Chief Tom Kilborne. He approached Boden about his decision of choosing Pelham as his new lieutenant. He warned him that he will regret the decision because he didn’t run it past him…

Boden spoke with Pelham about Kilborne. Pelham hoped it wouldn’t be a problem. Kidd was in the next room and overheard the exchange.

Chief Hawkins made an excuse to ride along with Violet. Gallo observed and was a bit jealous. Hawkins and Violet received a call of a newborn who wasn’t breathing after a midwife performed natural delivery at home. The babe’s airway was obstructed and they worked together to clear it, saving the child.

Ritter arranged for Dillion to talk with Trudy and be reinstated plus transferred away from his toxic partner. And just like that, he was a cop again.

When Kelly got home, Stella asked him about being distant. He flat out asked her did she still want to marry him, there was a pause and fade to black…

  1. Joanne Ulmer says:

I liked the episode..back with a bang..kelly and stella had more time to talk which is good because there is still issues in the relationship. Actually i dont know what stella will say at this point because the statement i dont want to lock my future in right now is a red flag to me because telling someone u will marry them is your future..so i hope she say hell yeah like she did.before..but if she say something like not ready to marry right now r rush into i think that will be a problem for kelly because he fet abandoned and rejected..he was very hurt and still is that’s why he is asking stella the question..he want to hear her say she still want to marry him period!!!I just want them to get married..The End Game.

  2. Gail F says:

I’m hoping that Stella says, he’ll yeah I want to marry you. After all no one says the wedding has to happen real soon, all Kelly needs to hear is that she still wants to marry him. Kelly hasn’t even gotten her an engagement ring yet, so there is no hurry. Just as long as the wedding happens sometime in the future is all that matters.
