Celebrity hostess Alexus Renée asks immediately about Bo Deal’s retirement from the rap industry and how was it making that hard decision. Bo responds, “Only a fool leaves something that he’s still making good money from but at some point in time, you have to know when to bow out. One thing with rappers and boxers… they don’t know when to quit the game. So I want to leave the same way I came in. Still respected and making more time for my kids, my family and other business ventures.”

Bo Deal Good Side Bad Side 2

Mr. Deal is revisiting the same formula as the preceding mixtape on Good Side Bad Side 2 which drops March 8th. It’s graced with top production from beat-makers such as Iceberg, YK, Southside, and Metro Boomin. There are a host of features from the likes of Waka Flocka, Lil Bibby, Bump J, G Herbo and more. His music videos are in the works currently.

Deal expands more on his personal relationship with well known rappers came about and how those correlates to his success. He explains his friendship with Waka came in the early days of entering the rap game under Gucci Mane’s ticket. Back then Flocka wasn’t rapping, however, later on when he established himself as an artist he reached out and fully supported Bo Deal’s career despite his split from Gucci’s camp for a solo debut. Even with Yo Gotti, their relationship too is more friendship first and business secular. “We don’t even talk about music the majority of the time when we talk. We talk about life. I’ve established a real friendship with those people,” elaborates Deal. The emcee has been fortunate enough to receive other celebrity endorsements including comedians Mike Epps and Kevin Hart.

Renée asks Deal about his positive movement on social media that has gone wildly viral called the “Green Apple Chronicles” or hastagged “Botivation“. It started as a negative comment that was instrumental in the motivation for positive words while chomping on a ripe green apple. In only a few days more people would create their own videos and share them.

Bo Deal's daughter Reagan Sanai Natural Hair Care Products In Stores

Aside of the music Bo Deal supports his daughter’s natural hair care line for kids which is self titled Reagan Sanai. Like most African American girls it’s difficult to find natural healthy products to treat thick curly hair. This motivated Reagan Sanai’s mother to develop her own recipe. Being a versatile business man he obviously supported his beautiful daughter’s endeavor but adding famous endorsements of the product. Celebs such as Monica, Toni Braxton, Jim Jones and more. And it’s skyrocketed since and can be found in stores in Chicago, Atlanta and Mississippi. They are currently in negotiations for inclusion in Whole Foods.

Alexus asks him for advice he would offer to new up and coming rappers as he segues out. He uses a superb analogy. “You gotta have tough skin. You gotta be consistent. You gotta keep working. When people don’t believe in you, you’ll have to believe in yourself. I’m gonna tell you like a man told me. You might run around this lap one time or a million times before that door opens. But the minute you get tired and stop running, that man that was running behind you is gonna take your spot.”
