SPERGO’s 14-Year Old CEO Attracts Celebrities To Fashion Brand

Trey Brown is the founder and CEO of SPERGO, which he started at the age of 12 using $178 from his birthday money. At the time of this article, the teen is now 14 and has expanded his empire to attract the eyes of top celebrities including Meek Mill, DaBaby, Lil Durk, and even Diddy. Recently, the music and fashion mogul granted $25,000 into the youth’s business on an airing of Ellen. (Check out the segment above.) As many on the Gram often cap in their pictures of posing with celebs, taking fancy vacas, cropped near the most expensive luxury car- this young entrepreneur is actually living it.

SPERGO is a clothing brand that includes sweatsuits, hoodies, boxer briefs, and accessories for both genders as well as children. The teen said in an interview that he started his business to uplift and inspire kids in his neighborhood. He even takes time to donate part of the proceeds back to the homeless. His business prowess and business acumen are what melts the hearts of people. And not to mention his expertise and timing in his era of social media influencers.

Trey Brown is a self-starter salesman who would initially sell to family and friends. He soon branched to local barbershops. One key move he made was to reinvest all of the profits back into the business to expand his product line.

What Does SPERGO Mean?

“Spergo is a catchy name that I came up with that combines “Sports” and “Heroes,” explains Trey. “I’m not talking about superheroes, I’m talking about people just like you that inspire me, positive people all around the world that I look up to,” Brown adds. He chose the lion as his company’s logo as it “represents power, strength, and courageousness.”

The teen has many mentors but Diddy is one in particular which he follows. He even got a hold of Mr. Sean John’s phone number and would call him for advice.

“This kid would call me every single day. I don’t know how he got my number. And he didn’t regular-call me neither. He would FaceTime me and I was just blown away by his tenacity, by his focus, the quality of his manufacturing, you are a prime example of who we are going to be giving out Black Excellence Entrepreneurial grants to.” -Diddy

Bravo to this kid for having a great mindset at such a young age. We look forward to more from him in the near future.

In the words of the youth… “Slow feet don’t eat!” So get moving and motivated!
