Although there was no grand prize winner, the August 1st drawing produced 4.9 million winning tickets across all prize tiers. Seven tickets won second prize snagging $1 million. One ticket sold in Texas is worth $4 million with the 4X Megaplier. According to a news release, Texas has produced the most multi-million second-tier prizes.

The odds of winning any prize is 1 in 24, while the odds of winning $1 million is 1 in 12.6 million. Taking the jackpot is a whopping 1 in 302.5 million. Players have greater odds of “getting hit by lightning or attacked by a shark than winning the Mega Millions,” according to statistics.

If a single winner won the jackpot, their buying power could afford them a few of Elon Musk’s Space X Falcon spaceships, which cost $150 million. According to statistics, they could purchase an NHL or English soccer team, which cost around $500 million.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 for each game. A $1 Megaplier can be purchased, which multiples the winnings.

The next drawing is Friday at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT.
