Mary J. Blige performance was dope at the 2019 BET Awards. She performed a number of her hit melodies including “Real Love,” “I Can Love You” featuring Lil Kim plus “You’re All I Need” featuring Method Man. Prior to performing she was presented with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by singer, songwriter and businesswoman Rihanna.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, Oscar-nominated actress and philanthropist made history at 2018 Academy Awards as the first double nominee across the acting and music categories for Best Song and Best Supporting Actress for her work on Mudbound. This award was very much deserved. Blige in her acceptance speech attributed her success and longevity in the business to being a faithful servant and said “although I’m a queen, a living legend, I’m a servant of God.”
