Johari Noelle ‘Tycsol’ Is Soulful Presentation Of Things You Can’t Say Out Loud

Johari Noelle Tycsol EP is a vulnerable glimpse into the artist’s emotions- illustrated with soulful vocals and authentic R&B melodic beat production. At first, I thought the unique album name was a mystic decoding for the letters “Costly.” However, through Internet sleuthing I found that it’s an acronym for “Things You Can’t Say Out Loud.” The expressions given in the tracks are just that. It’s the artists’ affections and passions poured out in the music. Read the full review and see why you should be listening to her music.

Some may remember the starlet from Kelly Rowland’s docu-series ‘Chasing Destiny’ on BET. Others may have seen her on Fox’s Empire. I’m sure she’ll inevitably be remembered for good music. Tycsol is Noelle’s debut work. It’s a five track EP that’s fire! I would put here in the same lane as H.E.R. Beautiful voice, deep yet relatable song topics, and genuine tracks. I don’t want to influence the feeling you gain from the songs- have a listen and determine yourself. However, here are some of my favorite tracks off the album…

Regrets” I regret I personally missed her live performance in Chicago. Hearing this track with a live band would have been epic. However, Alexus Renée was able to see her live at our partner (Next Showcase) artist showcase and confirmed her voice is everything! The drums in this joint kick, the bass is smooth- it’s a perfect marriage of Johari’s vocal range. She doesn’t want to live with regrets. She explains… not to live in the past, but focus on yourself and move forward.

Too Much” Is too short… It’s like your favorite TV show hooking you and leaving you with a cliffhanger. That’s a good thing however. It explains from her perspective why she thinks she’s festering in the emotions of a lover’s mind- a little bit too much. It’s a jazzy number with a bit of a Hip Hop vibe. In the music video, the visuals are minimal, eclectic yet intriguing. Check it out below…
