Jeen-Yuhs is a documentary that will delve into the life and upbringing of rapping superstar Kanye West. Coodie & Chike directed the project, as the three-part series will air on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, via Netflix.

Kanye West is one of the most iconic hip-hop stars of this generation. While he is often divisive with his statements, there is no denying that he has become one of the most iconic stars in the entertainment industry.
His influence has reached far and wide-ranging from music, politics, and even fashion— the latter of which is best summed up by his ‘Yeezy’ brand that has contributed to his ever-growing net worth of $10 billion.
But the road to reaching that success was not an easy one. His mother’s, Donda West who just so happened to influence the rapper’s latest album title, death sent the rapper into a depth of deep despair.
And yet as she influenced his mindset, after having been a college professor, Kanye brought that cultural influence to become the man that we now know as ‘Ye.’

In the official synopsis fans can expect the following, “In the late 1990s, as a young Kanye West dreamed of stardom as a rapper, a friend in Chicago picked up a camera and began capturing his improbable journey.”A landmark documentary event presented in three acts from Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, JEEN-YUHS is an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye’s experience, showcasing both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist.

As part of that journey, there were other significant stars that had an impact on the world that Kanye now inhibits. Some of the stars that we can expect to make an appearance in the documentary include Jay Z and Pharrell.
