Celebrating Faith, Football, and Music: Nate Burleson Hosts the Best of Super Bowl Gospel

Get your spirits lifted and your feet tapping as the “Best of Super Bowl Gospel Celebration” hits the airwaves from November 18 through January 28! This one-hour extravaganza, hosted by the multi-talented Nate Burleson – CBS Mornings co-host, The NFL Today analyst, and former NFL star – is a spectacular mashup of faith, music, and football, paying homage to the event’s 24-year legacy.

Imagine a world where touchdowns meet tunes and prayers align with passes. That’s what the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, now jazzed up as the “Super Bowl Soulful Celebration,” has been offering for nearly a quarter of a century. Melanie Few, the brainchild behind this Atlanta-based marvel and a marketing whiz, has crafted an event that blends faith, music, and football into a harmonious tradition that amps up the excitement leading to the Super Bowl. This is the only NFL-sanctioned event during Super Bowl week that celebrates multiculturalism, drawing global eyeballs with its spellbinding performances and heartening messages.

Burleson, swapping his helmet for a mic, shared, “This role is more than just hosting; it’s revisiting a quarter-century of soul-touching memories. We’re talking unforgettable performances, unlikely collaborations, and players sharing tales of hope and resilience. It’s a celebration where music, faith, and football intertwine, creating something extraordinarily unique.”

As the show gears up for its Silver Anniversary, Few reminisces, “Twenty-four years ago, we started a journey that married powerful testimonies with mesmerizing music. This ‘Best Of’ special is our nod to this incredible journey, showcasing the pinnacle of talent and emotional moments that have graced our stage.”

The “Best Of” special is a nostalgic rollercoaster, with performances that will have you swaying to the soulful beats of Gladys Knight, Kirk Franklin, and Fantasia, and grooving to the rhythm of Snoop Dogg, the late Rance Allen, and The Clark Sisters. The lineup is studded with stars like Doug E. Fresh, Donnie McClurkin, and the electrifying reunion of gospel supergroup Commissioned. Each act is a step in this soulful journey.

Broadcasted nationally, including in cities like Chicago, Washington, DC, and Seattle, and available on Hulu, this show is a prelude to the Silver Anniversary Super Bowl Soulful Celebration slated for February 7 in Las Vegas. It’s a pre-game show like no other, uniting people through music, faith, and football. Tickets go on sale December 1 at Ticketmaster.com.

The “Best Of Super Bowl Gospel Celebration” is brought to you by P&G and their trusted brands like Bounty®, Crest®, Febreze®, and Gillette®, and sponsored by NFL Player Engagement.
