The 2021 Black Media Honors will showcase exemplary Africa American professionals in the media industry. The star-studded awards have been set up by Empower Media Group (EMG)— a media company from Atlanta— to celebrate those who have made a significant contribution to journalism, public relations, and mass media. The event will take place on Sunday, August 22, 2021, via FoxSoulTV. Some of the stars who will be honored include Karen Civil and Nadia C. Fisher.
Black Media Honors Premise
The ceremony will be hosted by Brely Evans (actress) and Pastor Anthony Murray at the Twelve Midtown Conference Center, Atlanta. The event promises to shine a light on the unsung heroes who often go under the radar. Stephanie Davis, the founder of Black Media Honors/CEO of Empower Media Group, states:
“The vision of the Black Media Honors is to recognise the trailblazers in African American Media and other American minorities who have paved the way for the broadcasting, public relations, media, mass communication, journalism professionals of today. Many of these creators have never received their much-deserved recognition.”
The event spans a few days which includes a conference to learn from other media professionals, a red carpet affair preceding the awards ceremony.
