Here’s everything you need to know about The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3!

AMC took a chance on this zombified story, basing it on the living just trying to live and love within this desolate world, on October 31, 2010, fittingly enough. 12 years and a whole Walking Dead universe later, we find ourselves saying goodbye to the fortunate ones who have made it to the finale. While I know we are all anticipating the finale 8 episodes, I know it will be hard to say goodbye. AMC recognized that some storylines won’t be over just because the series is ending. AMC has confirmed multiple spinoffs, and the Internet is all ablaze with theories of other rumored spinoffs.

“‘The Walking Dead’ made television history, and is one of those rare creative works that has given life to an entire content universe that is still in the early stages of growing and entertaining both new and established fans,” said Ed Carroll, chief operating officer of AMC Networks.

“I look forward to digging in with our brilliant writers, producers, directors, cast, and crew to bring this epic final chapter of Robert Kirkman’s story to life for our fans over the next two years,” said Angela Kang. “‘The Walking Dead’ flagship series has been my creative home for a decade and so it’s bittersweet to bring it to an end, but I could not be more excited to be working with Scott Gimple and AMC to develop a new series for Daryl and Carol.”

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 1 & 2 Recap

It’s going to be a while before AMC drops Part 3 of The Walking Dead Season 11, so to stay in the myx, here’s a recap of everything that has happened so far in Season 11….

Alexandria and its people are starving. Maggie takes a team to Meridan to recover food for the Alexandrians. During the mission, Maggie is almost dragged away by a group of walkers, and Negan watches offering Maggie no help as he walks away. Maggie gets away and informs the group how Negan abandoned her.  Gage and Roy are both lost on the mission. Eugene, Ezekiel, Princess, and Yumiko are admitted into the Commonwealth.

The Reapers kill Duncan and Cole and Maggie meets up with Negan to do a supply run. Carol has to slaughter horses to feed the people of Alexandria. Darryl stumbles upon Dog sitting next to Leah. The Reapers torture Darryl. Darryl is locked inside a shed and the Pope has it burnt to the ground. Darryl and Leah escape. Pope welcomes Darryl to the Reapers, but Darryl is not sure he wants to be a Reaper.

Carol and Aaron get information from a Whisperer that Connie is still alive. Yumiko finds her brother Tomi. Eugene meets Stephanie and they get caught together trying to radio Alexandria. Lance releases them, acting friendly. Maggie and Negan meet up with Gabriel and Elijah. Connie and Virgil meet up with Kelly, Manga, Rosita, and Carol. Pope kills Frost. Leah and Darryl lead a group of Reapers to hunt Maggie. Darryl helps Maggie and her group escape.

Eugene punches Sebastian, after saving him, for being an ingrate. Lance offers Eugene a chance to escape jail if Eugene will tell Lance where Alexandria is. Darryl helps Maggie and her group get inside Meridian. Darryl tells Leah he is Team Maggie. Leah kills Pope and blames it on Darryl. A storm destroys parts of Alexandria’s walls.

Maggie takes her revenge on the Reapers, killing them all except for Leah, who Darryl lets escape. Alden is turned into a walker, and Negan leaves Maggie and her anger towards him to go off on his own. Maggie and her team arrive at Alexandria with the food. Eugene and Lance arrive. Months later, Maggie has her own group at Hilltop. The Alexandrians who have relocated to the Commonwealth are struggling to fit in. Rosita and Darryl train to become soldiers. A ball is held for Governor Pamela Milton.

Eugene meets Max who he was in contact with on the radio. Pamela goes and visits the area settlements. At Hilltop she clashes with Maggie who refuses her help. Maggie loses some community members over this. Lance hopes he can take Hilltop to show he is more powerful than Pamela.

Toby takes a small group to retrieve stolen weapons from an apartment complex. Toby starts killing everyone at the complex and Aaron, Gavriel, and Jesse realize that Lance sent Toby here to wipe them out. Negan is inside the complex and gets a message to Maggie at Hilltop to come help. Maggie arrives and Negan saves Hershel who was stowed away in Maggie’s truck and was caught. Darryl and Rosita are forced to retrieve some money in a house filled with walkers. Inside the house, they find a woman who also was sent by Sebastian earlier to do the same mission. They all get trapped inside the house until Carol and Mercer save them. Darryl’s group corners Toby and kills him.

Lance shows up at the complex and heads straight to Hilltop for Maggie. Lance finds Leah in the woods, who stole the Commonwealth’s weapons and offers her the job of killing Maggie. Mercer and Princess are in a relationship. Eugene asks Max to help his group figure out who and why Sebastian is sending people on suicide missions for cash. Ezekial has opened a secret hospital and Tomi is performing surgeries again.

Lance attacks Maggie’s Hilltop, and Maggie gets kidnapped by Leah. Lance orders the death of Gabriel, Aaron, and Darryl. Aaron is injured in their escape. Maggie fights Leah, but Leah pins Maggie down and goes in for the kill just as Darryl kills Leah! Lance has now captured another community and flips his coin to decide what to do with the people’s lives inside.

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 Speculations

With this being one of the greatest shows on television, make sure to drop your email to stay in the myx with any and all alerts and updates!

  • The Walking Dead Part 3 will not air before June 2022.
  • With a Negan and Maggie spinoff confirmed by AMC, we know that they will have to be together in the end. I can’t imagine Hershel not making it into the new series for at least a couple of episodes, as a child adds extra drama, but with Negan’s wife Annie being pregnant, a baby would be even crazier!
  • Negan and Maggie’s spinoff is confirmed to be titled Isle of the Dead. It will consist of 6 episodes and air sometime in 2023.
  • Also, AMC confirmed a Darryl and Carol spinoff slated for early 2023 which still remains unnamed. I see Darryl riding off for his new adventures with Carol on the back of his motorcycle. It’s been a while since we have seen him ride, so what’s more fitting than Darryl’s last scene being on his motorcycle riding off with Carol?
  • I don’t know about anyone else, but I cannot see them ending the whole series without another Rick Grimes moment. I personally would feel robbed. I think we will see Rick and Michonne come back, to at least set up the movie storyline or a Rick and Michonne spinoff. Let me know in the comments below if you think Rick will make an appearance.
  • Speaking of Rick and Michonne, I predict that AMC will stick with the small screens to air a Rick and Michonne spinoff rather than forge ahead with a theater release in the near future.
  • I definitely see a tearful goodbye montage of everyone’s family and friends that they have lost along the way. I see some flashback scenes showing the characters we loved and have never forgotten. We miss you, Carl! Who was your favorite character that didn’t make it?
  • A time jump is definitely going to happen as leaked by Aalyah Luu, who plays Alyiah, Jerry’s daughter, let slip on a since-deleted Instagram post that she will be playing the older version of the character. It looks like there is about a 5-7 year time jump coming in the next set of episodes. Let me know all your theories and thoughts on the upcoming Season 11 Part 3 Finale of The Walking Dead in the comments below, and make sure to drop your email to stay in the myx!

  1. Tina Graham says:

I’m really hoping this is not the end of walking dead…

    1. Amanda Bonar says:

Me too!! With Maggie and Negan getting their spinoff and Darryl and Carol getting their spinoff, I see a good future for some crossover events to bring Darryl, Carol, and Maggie together if only for an episode or two. I still have my fingers crossed for a Rick and Michonne spinoff. Are you looking forward to any of the spinoffs? I have heard rumors for a while now of a Walking Dead movie, but I see them going the small screen route, and giving Rick his own spinoff.

  2. Ahmed says:

I think that Rick will walk up and recognize that all what happened was a nightmare 😂😂😂

    1. Amanda Bonar says:

      Lol, plot twist!

  3. Andrew says:

Carol will no longer be involved with Darryl’s spin off as it is gonna be set and filmed in Europe ,so with it being filmed there it becomes real easy for Andrew Lincoln to show up as Rick.
I personally would love to see a Governor orgin story and the founding of Woodbury

    1. Amanda Bonar says:

Ooh, I love the idea of a Governor storyline spinoff. That would be enticing to watch. I am saddened that Carol will not be in the spinoff, but maybe she will guest star in one of them or come back to the show after some time off. I am too excited to see Rick back in action again, no matter what show he decides to pop up in. I am hoping for an appearance in the finale to set up the spin-offs.
