Previously on The Peripheral Season 1 Episode 5, Flynne’s life is threatened again. A retired hitman from her time was forced to kill her, but the attempt was unsuccessful, thanks to Billy Ann and Burton.

Tommy was forced to get involved while investigating the attack. However, he was rammed off the road by an invisible car, and the hitman was extracted from his vehicle while en route to the jail.

Flynne returned to the future to confront Cherise. They fought fiercely, and Flynne snapped her peripheral’s neck.

Warning… Spoilers below!

On The Peripheral Season 1 Episode 6, in the Texas Outback in 2028, we see Burton and his platoon aiming their machine guns at an invisible enemy. Intel has told them that the enemy has been using wounded dogs to draw out troopers. (Very familiar to the experiment Grace showed Aelita.) Conner commands his team to stand out while he helps the dog. He charges at a dog trapped inside of the barbed wire. As he cuts the wire loose, he notices the pup is wired with explosives, and it detonates! Conner wakes from his real nightmare in a rage (this is how he lost his arm and legs). Burton is in the trailer to calm his commander…

Seeking A New Body

Beatrice summoned the Mum about the murder at the research center.

Tommy investigates the whereabouts of the invisible cars, yet the sheriff ices him. Tommy notices the sheriff’s boots are the ones he saw extracting Bob from his squad car when he was rammed!

In the future, Wilf shows Flynne that the peaceful world he resides in is partially VR fabricated. The pedestrians aren’t real, and some of the buildings aren’t fully rebuilt. Wilf takes her to visit a butcher, Reggie, and she gets into a blade fight with him and his assistant. She ultimately subdues them to extract information about Aelita. He was the one who surgically transported the eye into Burton’s peripheral.

Connor visited Macon and questioned him about the tech behind the headset. He was interested in returning so he could have a permanent body. While in the future, Ash builds Conner’s peripheral.

Ella tested Tommy with the aid of a VR headset, and he had a flashback. She urged him to stop investigating while he was compelled to find the truth!

The Mum

Bob The Butcher awoke at Corbell’s place. A collar was placed around his neck. He learned the hard way that it prevented him from trying to kill his capture and from escaping. He charged Bob with the goal of determining who was mucking in his territory.

Connor asked Leon to connect to him virtually, and the man witnessed how gruesome it was after losing his limbs.

Ossian received a surprise visit from The Mum (Inspector Ainsley Lowbeer of the metropolitan police) and Beatrice, who demanded to see Lev and Wilf. The higher level officers, like The Mum privy, had access to information and knew to question them about the murders at the laboratory.

Tommy confronted Burton about his ambush, seeking information, but Burton stifled him.

Corbell visited the sheriff to access his system, and he gave him the password, “FUCK YOU AND EAT SHIT.”

Mary Pickett was charged with watching over Bob. He had an ingenious plan to escape. He cracked her giant fish tank, and she zapped him to knock him out. The tank broke and pooled water everywhere. When Bob woke, he grabbed her leg when she zapped him again, transferring electricity to her and knocking them both out. Yet he rose first…

Burton visited Connor with a present from the future. It was a pair of prosthetic legs. However, Connor was adamant about transitioning to his peripheral permanently despite Burton’s plea against it. Suddenly, Flynne, Burton, and Connor were summoned to the future. Their peripherals gained life during the Inspector’s interrogation and greeted them…
