The annual Bounce Trumpet Awards will commence on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Dolby Theater, Hollywood, with the awards televised on Sunday, June 19, at 7 p.m. ET via Bounce.
By celebrating the best African-American achievements, the awards aim to honour those who have been fighting for social justice for people of colour on the front lines.
Not enough is often spoken about the rich history that the awards have established throughout the years. Previous honourees have included Muhammad Ali, Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Halle Berry, Stevie Wonder, Steve Harvey, Martin Luther King III, and more.
And in fitting with such an occasion, the 30th anniversary promises to go out with a bang. This year’s awards are stacked-pack full of big names ranging from many different fields such as education and politics.
With that being said, let us take a look at who is expected to attend this year’s awards.
