In Snowfall season 4 episode 6, Fatback was lured into a dark abandoned warehouse to be knocked out, then awakened, tormented for information about Leon’s whereabouts, and finally killed by Khadijah. The mother of the slain child from the botched shooting between Skully’s goons.

In Snowfall season 4 episode 7, Franklin sees resolution in Fatback’s death. The cops have their fall guy so the heat is off their backs, Skully “got” the murderer of his daughter, Leon is free of criminal charges and can start back trafficking the flow of drugs in the projects. A win, right? The rest of the crew doesn’t see it that way, however.

Although the heat of the cops is off Franklin’s back, the fire of jackers are since they’re tailing him in his route to meet the plug. They recognize it early and thwart off the would-be thieves. At the drop, Reed is absent and Gustavo takes his place. Franklin asks him about the plug state of mind since their last encounter was shakey.

“Gangbanging is about more than money and colors to OG’s… it’s about community and respect!” —Jerome

The weight of crack rock is hitting close at Alton’s shelter, as one of his problematic fathers housing two children there has just overdosed and passed. The children will be placed in the system and ultimately separated.

When Leon heads back to the projects, things have changed in his absence. Fatback’s cousin, Big Deon, is now running things and of course has animosity towards him. Big Deon’s an OG (original Ganster) and a hardened leader. Leon approaches him to talk business, but the OG isn’t trying to hear it. Leon wants to pay his way to the crew to right the wrongs but OG claims he doesn’t have the money to support them. The two square up, but cool off to talk later. He sought the help of someone else for this problem.

Leon asked Jerome to help him negotiate with Big Deon. He knew they would connect better. Jerome explained to him, “gangbanging is about more than money and colors to OG’s… it’s about community and respect!” Meaning, Leon had to resume the void Fatback filled. Taking care of the community while slanging. Jerome went with Leon to the projects to meet Big Deon and talk things over. It was a rocky encounter but ultimately lead to the crews doing business. This exchange offered more soldiers the crew would train.

$5,000 dead or alive…

In Manboy’s hunt for Leon, Khadijah put a bounty out on him for $5,000 dead or alive. So a crew of female hitters tries to cash in, dropping off a body that looks like him but it’s not. This enrages Manboy and he shoes the girls away. Manboy scolded Khadijah about this and warned her that he will conduct the hunt his own way.

Later on, a desperate young woman aimed a gun at Leon’s head in the presence of Jerome, revealing the $5k bounty information to him. Just then, she was outmaneuvered by one of the young soldiers, and the guns reverted onto her. Leon resuming his authoritative role put money in her pocket and warned her to “ask” if she needed anything. Jerome took the money away and used the opportunity to interrogate her further about the bounty. It unveiled that the bounty extends to everyone in the Saint top crew…

A father tells all…

Alton tries to plead with his wife Cissy about it. Stating, “I want him to walk away.” Referring to his kingpin drug dealing son Franklin. Cissy informs Alton, that if he can get Franklin to agree then she’s on board with getting out. She won’t abandon her son, however. In previous episodes, we saw that Franklin cannot get out even if he wanted to. This won’t end until the Nicaraguan conflict is resolved.

And peering at the show, we learned it’s not ending soon. The Contras took a recent blow because they were missing the recent weapons shipment. This is why Reed is tracking them down. At first, he assumed Avi got greedy but learned he didn’t screw the CIA agent. Reed and Avi got burned over cash for the latest shipments of guns from someone else in the pipeline. Hence why we segue to their journey…

Their visit to the bank in Panama revealed that an employee stole the funds, but the bank reimbursed the money back to their account on his behalf. This was strange and a paranoid Reed took this as a deeper sign. And since he was unsatisfied with that answer he took matters into his own hands.

Reed visits the person who could shed light on the missing funds. Reed stealthily slides into his home while he’s sleeping and tortures him with a vile waterboarding abuse technique for information. Unable to gain the information he needed, Reed had to flee the banker’s home because police had arrived along with the head of the bank and Avi.

Alton is beginning to wilt away as Los Angeles Herald hard-hitting investigative reporter Irene Abe’s wrath could come to his family if he does not give up information about the government using his family to sell cocaine in the United States. He met the reporter to rat out the CIA in exchange that she protect his family. He ended up telling her everything he knew

Alton confessed to Cissy about what he’d done. Cissy immediately told Franklin. Young Saint and his parents gathered to talk. Alton suggests they hide away in Cuba but Franklin is against that. A heated argument ensued and Franklin ended up pulling a gun out on his father. Alton yelled to him, “What, you’re gonna shoot me… like you did Andre!” Alton’s words angered Franklin to pistol-whip his father. While in pain Alton cites, “Through a glass, darkly!” Which is a biblical phrase from 1 Corinthians 13 meaning, “What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror,” according to Good News Bible. He was referring to their entire situation and the self-reflection that revealed about them. Franklin was fed up with his “poetry” jargon and wanted Alton gone from their lives, he is no longer his son.

Franklin desperately needed to get in touch with Reed and tried to gain contact via Gustavo to no avail. After that call, Gustavo intercepted a transmission that stated the CIA has no location on Lucia. Franklin came to the realization that he is at the cusp of the collapse of his empire. And Ire has written the expose of her lifetime…

Check out a sneak peek of Snowfall season 4 episode 8 “Betrayal.” Reed warns Franklin to mussel his father, Alton wants the family to flee to Cuba, Khadijah and crew set out to exact vengeance. In my opinion, I think Louie may be shot (or even killed!)
