Snoop Dogg received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Snoop Dogg is a multi-platinum Grammy-nominated artist, Emmy-nominated personality host, actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist – a true entertainment legend.
Most folks know of Snoop’s resume and how he’s put numbers on the board all while staying currently- reinventing himself along the way. I’ll take the opportunity to remind readers of his impressive baggage:
- Released 18 studio albums
- Sold over 40-million albums worldwide
- Reached No. 1 on Billboard charts internationally
- Received nearly 20 GRAMMY nominations
- 1993’s Doggystyle record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 800,000 copies in the first week.
- In 2018 he released a Gospel album called Snoop Dogg Presents Bible Of Love which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts and stayed #1 for eight weeks.
- Plus numerous films, and work in television as personality as well as executive producer.
This occasion is even more special for Snoop as it is also the 25th year anniversary of his debut album Doggystyle in 1993. The star was dedicated in the category of Recording at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Jimmy Kimmel Live. A few celebrity guest speakers spoke on Mr D-O double Gizzle’s behalf including Dr. Dre, Jimmy Kimmel and Quincy Jones.
