Rapsody EVE album is a flowetic ode to some great black women from our lifetime and proceeding. In an interview with writer and poet L. Lamar Wilson, Rapsody got the epiphany for the album while listening to Nina Simone and Roberta Flack. She states, “I had a concept: I want to make an album and name every song after a black woman because I’m an extension of every black woman.” In her NPR interview, the lyricist breaks down each of her tracks. Describing each song as either her personality or how her mood intertwines with each female. You can stream or purchase the album here.
