Watch NCIS Season 19 Episode 12 “Fight or Flight”
Previously on NCIS Season 19 Episode 11, the team was sent via helicopter to a research vessel in the middle of the ocean because a group of Navy Seals was stranded from a mission. They found out the hard way it was an ambush for the militants to steal their chopper and sell it on the black market.
Parker foiled their plan when he hid in the confiscated copter, got his location to the real Navy Seals, who came in to arrest the bandits. That’s when Parker finally accepted the NCIS team as his own… willing to die for them. It’s official, Gibbs won’t be coming back to NCIS.
Warning… Spoilers below!
On NCIS Season 19 Episode 12, Torres got to the office late, he had an eventful night. Torres felt threatened when Agent Dale Sawyer put in some extra time with Parker.
Sightless
The NCIS team was called to a landfill to investigate a case of a dead Navy lieutenant, Kane Lantz, who was missing his eyeball. Suddenly, Agent Collins from the Defense Intelligence Agency came and took over the crime scene and wouldn’t offer insight as to why… claiming it’s classified.
Director Vance and Parker video conferenced DIA director Maurine Lieutenant General Joseph Clark for intel. He informed them that Agent Lantz took a military laptop home that had highly classified intel. It was missing and they suspected someone cut out his eye to gain access.
The investigation led them to Lantz’s brother Alex Russo. He used Lantz like an ATM and learned his brother was dead. He admitted he got money from a loan shark if he would steal his brother’s laptop. Lantz tried to retrieve it and ended up dead!
The team pondered why Torres had been so distant lately. Ever since Gibbs left. However, they also learned Lantz was tortured to death.
The investigation led the team to an abandoned warehouse. It wasn’t a torture chamber… it was an octagon for underground cage fighting.
Someone’s Watching
Lantz’s injuries seemed like they came from cage fighting and the team pondered how was he associated. More investigation led them to a man named Maxim Dovhal.
The discussion of Torres’s behavior came up again so the team tasked Knight with getting him to open up but he wouldn’t. They spotted Dovhal and tried to arrest him but he fled then attacked the agents. Oddly, he told them to hit him because someone was watching. Knight tased him and they apprehended the man.
While being interrogated, Dovhal confessed that some people threatened to kill his wife if he didn’t spar in the fight club. He and his wife immigrated to the States. They were separated for months and they wanted them to find his wife, Elena. The NCIS team was now fighting a human trafficking extortion ring.
The Octagon
The team brainstormed a plan to go undercover as a cage fighter. They wanted to send two agents to fight each other. Regardless, their winner would speak with the outfit’s boss. The two agents were Torres and Sawyer. They taunted each other about the qualms had and fought fiercely. They had to be broken up.
McGee posed as the money man and escort the undercover to the cage. They met with Sammy and he called an audible, switching up who they fought. Torres had to spar a giant of a fighter!
When they got in the ring, Torres pounced on the giant until he got his turn. Meanwhile, Sawyer snooped in the backroom and found a locked frig. When he broke in, he found the eyeball being preserved. In the ring, Torres was being beaten to a pulp.
Torres seemed to give up on life and re-entered the ring for more punishment. Torres found his second wind and conquered the giant!
Afterward, they sought to meet the boss, Sammy and his mean got suspicious. The goons were just about to pull their guns until agents swarmed the place. Turns out, Sammy was the boss!
The trafficking ring was busted up and Dovhal was able to reunite with his wife.
Torres was getting stitched up by Palmer and he too asked why he was so angry lately. He related to Torres and knew he was reeling from his father figure leaving his life. He consoled his colleague to help him heal…
