Marvel Studios’ Eternals Hit Theaters November 5th

Angelina Jolie (Those Who Wish Me Dead, Salt,) and Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones, Testament of Youth) star in Eternals, Marvel Studio’s third Phase Four film.

Taking place 5 years after the blip and Thanos’s defeat by the Avengers, the Eternals tells the story of ten immortal beings, who came to Earth seven thousand years ago. They came to protect humans from monsters called Deviants – and no, not the ones we encountered in Disney+’s Loki earlier this year. These Deviants are ancient, mutated beings who possess dangerous and explosive powers.

When Thanos was killed and Tony used the infinity stones to bring everyone back, the return of so many people to the planet provided the energy for the “emergence” to begin. The Eternals, who have come to love and cherish the people of Earth over the years, now have seven days to find each other and stop the destruction of the planet they love.

Premiering November 5th, 2021, like its predecessor Shang Chi and the Ten Rings, Eternals will be showing exclusively in theaters. The film is helmed by Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, Songs My Brothers Taught Me).

Eternals also boast an illustrious cast, including: “Richard Madden as the powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.”

The final trailer was released August 19th, 2021, and has so far surpassed over 30 million views on Youtube. The fans are raving, however, critics are not in love with the film with headlines like; Marvel is scraping the bottom of the barrelOne of Marvel’s worst movies so far, and Eternals Is a Disaster of Intergalactic Proportions. We still think there will be eager fans interested in watching the film.
