Keanu Reeves will return in the action-thriller John Wick: Chapter 4! Chad Stahelski will oversee the project as a director, while Shay Hatten and Michael Finch will join as scriptwriters. The film was originally supposed to come out on May 21, 2021. However, due to the pandemic, its release has been postponed until March 24, 2023. Potential Plot
John Wick and his dog in John Wick Chapter 4
There is not much to go on (yet,) given that the plot has still yet to materialize. But the end of the third installment provides an insight into what we can expect from the sequel.
Following a battle with a series of army soldiers, John Wick found himself still alive, but at the behest of the ‘Adjudicator’, an agent from the ‘High Table’ who is tasked with ensuring that John is silenced.
And in the latter stages, it looks as though Winston betrayed John by shooting him in order to pledge his supposed allegiance to the High Table.
And as John Wick’s body disappears towards the latter part of the film, we find him under the aegis of the Bowery King. When it is clear that John Wick has woken up, Bowery King asks John if he has any ill-will towards the ‘High Table’ to which he answers in the affirmative.
In the new sequel, therefore, we can expect to learn why Winston decided to shoot John Wick. And whether Winston and John are actually enemies, or was Winston acting for an ulterior motive to actually look out for John…
