Jill Scott and Barry Watson star in Lifetime’s ‘Highway to Heaven,’ which is set to air on Saturday, November 6 at 8/7c. The movie is a modernized spin on the ’80s television series with the same name created by Michael Landon.
Premise
We are introduced to the lead character Angela Stewart (Jill Scott), who happens to be an angel on a mission. She has been ordered back to Earth in order to offer her assistance to those going through hard times. She decides to do this by taking up a position as a school counselor. In doing so, she comes across the Principal of the school Bruce Banks (Barry Watson).
The two team up together to deal with a turbulent student Cody (Ben Daon). The latter has lost his mother Melissa (Ashley Ross), and neither his father Jeff (Robert Moloney) nor his auntie Vanessa (Victoria Bidewell) is able to get through to him. And yet, Angela manages to use her ‘celestial powers’ to keep Cody at bay. Once Bruce finds out Angela’s true nature, he cannot help but marvel at her.
