Warning… Spoilers below!

On the FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 Episode 8, Jess LaCroix’s father, Byron, was in town visiting this granddaughter and gave his son an earful to watch Tali as she’s growing up fast. He was there to make the home more festive with a real Christmas tree.

Robbery Turned Deadly

A horse delivery truck driver was hauling a fine thoroughbred interstate. He conversed with the horse’s trainer, Tessa Sanders, via video conferencing as she was in the back calming the horse, Calaban. Suddenly, they had to stop as a vehicle blocked the road.

Suddenly a nervous man, Solomon, pulled a gun on them, another man was with him but was unarmed. They wanted to hijack the horse and when they opened the doors, they were surprised by Tessa’s presence. Tessa knew one of the men, Willy.

Meanwhile, on a fancy golf course, an instructor was really touchy with his female student and they noticed the horse delivery truck had blocked the road. When they went to investigate, Solomon, emerged and shot the golf instructor then executed his student in cold blood! He took the man’s watch and fled…

The team then started to search Solomon’s home and discovered he had a gambling habit and possessed a gun. But how did he connect with three bodies across several states, armed robbery, and a stolen horse…

No Feds Allowed

The agents spoke with the truck owner and learned more about the missing thoroughbred. The owner of the horse was Grace Roland. They kicked around a motive as the horse might be worth several million– ripe for a ransom. They also learned that Tessa was in the back of the truck. LaCroix didn’t suspect she was dead (yet) and figured she was kidnapped. The agents visited Tessa’s parents and learned she was trouble who ran away from home.

Meanwhile, Willy spoke with Tessa about his dealings with Solomon. She wondered if Solomon would kill her once they received the ransom. Later on, Solomon tried to force himself onto the woman, she fought back and tried to get his gun, but he got to it first. He aimed it at her head but resisted pulling the trigger and stormed out.

LaCroix shifted the focus of the investigation towards the money, figuring Solomon would have to ransom the animal somehow…

They visited Grace’s staple and asked about Calaban. Initially, she about the horse saying it was there. LaCroix called his father to see if one can verify a racehorse. He told him how and LaCroix asked to see the horse’s identification tattooed inside its lip.

Then the wealthy owner came clean. The kidnapped demanded no Feds and she didn’t want to lose her horse and was going to pay it. They told her about the murdered people and a missing woman. She stonewalled them, only concerned about retrieving her horse.

The team got a hit that Grace was extracting the ransom money and mounted up to tail her. Just as they were ensuing her, they stopped and were confronted by two men. One was Steven Bishop, he was Grace’s attorney. He heeded them a warning that they will handle the ransom their own way…

Double Crossed

Willy was tasked with killing Tessa. When he went to shoot her, she warned him that Solomon would stiff him and kill him taking all the money for himself. She offered to rid the crazed man and take his place.

When Solomon returned, they attacked and bound him. They were to meet at the ransom drop but Tessa had thrown a curveball in the plan.

Agents visited Grace once more to plead they allow them to help by planting an agent at the drop. She was hesitant at first as paying the ransom would be cheaper than if she lost the horse to the black market. They convinced her by pleading Tessa’s was kidnapped. She ultimately agreed and Agent Ortiz posed Grace’s employee to make the drop.

Suddenly, they got a video message of a gunman pointing a pistol at Tessa’s head and reverting new drop instructions. They decyphered it was Willy in the video and not Solomon. Ortiz dropped the money in a trash can and soon after Willy and Tessa arrived on a boat at the docks. Agents noticed Tessa wasn’t restrained and must have been in on the heist and sought to arrest them both.

Willy retrieved one of the bags and ran for the boat. But before he could bring the second bag she pushed him off the boat and took off. She had dumped the tracking bag and had a headstart with half the cash. Willy was caught red-handed with the other bag of cash.

Grace got her horseback and she wasn’t concerned at all with capturing Tessa. She knew the woman cared for her horse very well and as far as she was concerned Tessa earned the money. She changed her stance and made it a gift, hoping Tessa makes a great life for herself…

Missing Tali

Back home, Jess and Byron talked with Tali about boarding school. She was on board with it and Jess was hesitant as he wouldn’t see her as often…
