On the FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 Episode 7, a beautiful woman enjoyed her birthday evening with a friend and had a few too many drinks. She was driven home by limo and soon after someone entered the home. The next morning in her luxurious pad, the maid found her severed head under the couch!

Gaines dined with her former husband and two children. Things started to feel like old times…

Beheaded

The murdered woman’s name was Esme Langer. She was a successful businesswoman who also was the wife of basketball player Sonny Langer.

When the team got on site, they were amazed by the plush home but had a reality check since the case was instant headline news due to her celebrity status.

They learned she was stabbed viciously and repeatedly in the neck which nearly beheaded her. They naturally suspected her husband. He had returned to professional basketball recently and had an alibi as he was playing ball that night in front of a live telecast. LaCroix and Gaines decided to interview him.

Sonny was torn a part about Esme’s murder and had an alibi for his whereabouts that night. The only time he had been outside after the game was when a fire alarm went off and all hotel guests had to temporarily evacuate. Even then, fans rushed him for selfies and posted online.

Person Of Interest

Agent Ortiz and Agent Gibson visited the limo company. The driver noticed how her friend was pushy on getting Esme drunk that night. LaCroix and Gaines visited her and she told them about a stalker that encountered Esme a few times at the kid’s school.

Further investigation into the stalker revealed that Esme had videotaped him. She didn’t get a clear view of his face as it was hidden behind a camera. Just then, Agent Isobel Castille added more pressure on the team for leads. Despite it being premature, she took the stalker lead to the media as a person of interest.

A man recognized the person of interest as his creepy roommate, Mike Short. He was a registered sex offender on parole. Mike came home at the time his roommate was reporting him. Learning of this he attacked the man- killing him!

LaCroix and Gaines got the tip and visited the suspect’s home. When they entered they found the roommate murdered and Mike had committed suicide.

They were back to square one until they got a lead on a man named Doug Jones. When they tracked him down, he tried to flee but was caught. He immediately cracked claiming not to be the killer and was hired as a cleaner to swipe Esme’s jewelry from her place after she was murdered. LaCroix’s gut told him that Jones wasn’t a murderer so they dug deeper…

Streisand Entrance

The team was baffled at all of the clues yet the guilt started to point back towards Sonny. As they brainstormed, Gaines got an epiphany and called the Ritz Carlton hotel where Sonny was staying. She asked them did they have a Streisand entrance– a secret entryway for VIP guests where privacy was paramount. Living in Miami prior helped her pick up the lingo.

They now suspected Sonny could have used the private entrance to slip out, kill Esme, slip back in, and pull the fire alarm as a distraction…

Coverup

Meanwhile, Sonny was distraught about Esme and his agent Bronson Styles was by his side trying to console him. Sonny immediately snapped at him and attacked him, choking him to death!

The Feds got to the scene and were baffled why Sonny would kill his agent when he didn’t know they were onto him. They dug deeper into Sonny. They found he had gone onto a talk show and spoke about his CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) injury and a new medical device that he claimed healed him.

They looked more into the device and noticed his agent Bronson was a board member of the company producing the device. They suspected Bronson pitched the device to Sonny and made him believe his brain injuries were healed as he stands to make millions off his client.

They found a connection between Doug the cleaner, Bronson, and the CEO of the device company. They then suspected Bronson and the CEO covered up Esme’s murder to protect their company!

Gaines had a gut feeling Sonny’s condition caused him to murder those close to him rather than a premeditated operation. She felt he would go after his children next.

The team split up. Barnes and Ortiz went to visit the billionaire CEO to confront and arrest him while LaCroix and Gaines went to Esme’s sister Mindy’s home to admit her and the children into safe custody. However, Sonny had already picked them up!

Check My Brain

Sonny had taken the kids to the stadium through the VIP entrance and he got a call from Mindy’s phone. It was Gaines and LaCroix trying to calm the man and talk him down. They asked him what he wanted and he claimed he wanted Esme back. They figured he went to the stadium of his greatest college game.

He played basketball with his children rekindling past moments. Then the police and FBI showed up and he pulled a gun and embraced the children.

Gaines and LaCroix pleaded and spoke calmly with the man to let the kids go. He told his children that he loves them and ultimately freed them. When they were gone he drew the gun to his head! He admitted to going to Esme’s house that night but she wasn’t home. He was confused in some of his speech but told them he thought she was with someone else and that she confronted him with a knife. He took the knife and attacked her.

Gaines told him that he was taken advantage of by Bronson. Just when they were breaking through, he yelled out, “Tell them to check my brain!” and shot himself in the solar plexus… he died on the scene…

A New Friend

When Gaines got home, she grabbed a glass of wine and headed upstairs to her ex-husband’s place. He was returning home with their son and a new female friend. The son noticed the awkwardness and made an excuse for why his mother was there. She took the cue and exited…

I would like to know who played Sonny because I thought his acting was fantastic at the end. I cried with him! I have liked this show from the beginning, but they’re really killing it this season. I was not quite sure about Kristin in the beginning, but I’m really liking her addition.
