On East New York Season 1 Episode 8 “CompStat Interruptus”, a woman, Gwen, falls off the stage, onto DJ Authentic after suffering from a Fentanyl overdose. A total of 4 people fatally overdose on Fentanyl inside the nightclub.

Searched and Found

Gwen’s dad, Lowell, shows up to take Gwen home and makes a scene. Regina is not happy with his antics.

Yenko and his wife, Francine, are struggling through the beginnings of her Agoraphobia. He is trying to be patient with her, but it is a task. While watching the video footage from the nightclub, Regina spots Napoleon Santiago… from the Santiago Family.

Chief Warren Donaldson wants Regina to admit that morale is low in her precinct, and she’s offended. Chief Suarez stands up for her, and this angers both Donaldson and Regina. Regina doesn’t want it to seem like she needs any special treatment.

Tipped Off

DJ Authentic is pulled over, and when Sandeford finds a gun in the glove box, he arrests DJ Authentic and Sean Dryden. Regina asks him how the Santiago Family is doing, and he denies knowing them. He invites her to come and check out his next DJing gig if she brings her cuffs.

Sean, the undercover agent inside the Santiago Family for the past 2 years, wants to work with Regina. Regina is livid when she finds out Sean is undercover. He’s been ordered to a new case in Mexico that is sure to be difficult and probably unsolvable. Sandeford has a lunch date with Tamika, his ex-girlfriend. When they leave the restaurant, Sandeford spots Quinlan and Bentley kissing. Bentley is worried that Sandeford knows that he is dating Quinlan.

Raiding and Defying

Yenko talks to Francine on the phone, and she lies to Yenko, saying that she made it outside today. Yenko is so proud of her and recognizes how hard she has worked to be able to go outside of the house. Francine never left the house and is still in her pajamas.

Donaldson demands that Regina come in to explain why she disobeyed a commanding officer’s orders. She informs him that they performed the raid this morning and recovered 280 pounds of Fentanyl!

Regina arrests Napoleon Santiago and promises him that she’s going after his family next, especially his cousin, Kiki. She heads to talk to Sean, who is still undercover and sitting inside his jail cell. As Regina walks away, Sean tells her that he’s going to buy a dog so that he can meet up with her at a dog park. He needs a reason to be there and waiting for her.
