Watch East New York Season 1 Episode 6 “Court on the Street”
Previously on East New York Season 1 Episode 5, when a prisoner serving a life sentence escapes, the 7-4 teams up with the U.S. Marshals to track down the convict before he finds the cop who put him away: Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood. Also, Officer Quinlan struggles with her living situation.

On East New York Season 1 Episode 6 “Court on the Street”, Regina and her team have been assigned to clear someone’s private property of a homeless encampment.
Push or Protection
Reporter Nadia Nye starts questioning Regina about the housing situation, and Deputy Mayor Raymond Sharpe takes over the interview. When he begins speaking about the new housing that will be built onto the private property, Regina walks away upset, knowing that the rent will not be affordable and all that the Deputy Mayor cares about is looking good for his upcoming bid for Mayor.
While helping out at the homeless encampment, Sandeford bumps into Tamika. They converse awkwardly. Chief Suarez is helping his mother, Rosa, figure out her TV. At the homeless encampment, Lena realizes her son, Isaac, is missing and asks Bentley for help. Chester Pruitt, a homeless man, finds Isaac’s phone by the subway entrance.
When Suarez leaves his mother’s house, he witnesses a couple arguing. When he sees a gun inside the man’s waist, he attempts to restrain the man to call for backup. The man is uncooperative, and the woman lays her hands on Suarez twice to get him off her man. After Suarez warns the woman the first time, he pushes her away from himself the second time she lays her hands on him, and she falls down. Everyone around them is recording the scene.
Wrong Man
Quinlan is in court to testify in a robbery case when her mother, Anne-Marie, gets brought up. Quinlan becomes so upset she has an outburst in court, which could affect the whole case. Morales follows Quinlan out to the hallway and gives her words of advice and some comfort.
Yenko, Killian, and Regina discuss Charles and if he’s connected to the kidnapping case. Killian doesn’t believe that Charles is connected at all and just stumbled upon Isaac’s phone. Bentley asks Sandeford who Tamika is to her. Sandeford explains that Tamika is his ex-girlfriend. Sandeford bumps into Nadia and asks If she will let them look at her footage. She explains that they would need a subpoena first.
Regina sits down with the Trumans and explains that she believes Henry took Isaac. Killian interrupts the interview and informs Regina that they found a sex offender that works at the Trumans’ food pantry, Lloyd Turner. Yenko gets Henry to open up, and he confesses that Isaac walked him home and then went back to the homeless encampment.
Guilty
Sandeford tries to arrest Lloyd, but he makes a break for it, trying to run away. Killian tries to break Lloyd, but Lloyd holds firm, saying that he’s innocent. The Deputy Mayor brings Nadia into Suarez’s office to help them broker a deal. The Chief will give Nadia first access to the new stories, and Nadia won’t make the video public.
Chester returns to the police station feeling guilty. He explains to Killian that he wasn’t going to say anything because of the way they treat the homeless and his dog. Chester tells him that there is a man that works for Transit hanging around the church and the food pantry. The man is always talking to the little boy that’s missing.
Henry takes Yenko, Regina, and Killian to walk the path that he and Isaac take. He tells them all about the ‘motor man’, and they realize this is the same man that Chester was talking about. Henry gives them the man’s address. The man’s name is Ronald Kolondy.
Regina tells the team that they need to get to the train yard stat. Regina, Yenko, and Killian raid Ronald’s office in the train yard. Isaac is in the back room playing, unharmed, and Ronald gets arrested. Sandeford finds the courage to ask Tamika out, and she says yes.
