This star-studded evening will spotlight the achievements of trailblazing legends in Black comedy and those still on the come up. Comedians Chris Spencer and Tony Roberts will host the awards show while social media correspondent Juhahn Jones will give behind-the-scenes moments of the show. The Inaugural Humor Mill Comedy Awards
As a leading digital entertainment company for comedy news Humor Mill is proud to be hosting this inaugural event, the first comedy awards show in almost 20 years. Filmed live to tape, the awards show will feature both veteran comics and today’s top Black social comedy influencers.
Humor Mill founder Frank Holder claims that the show hopes to “bring urban comedy to the forefront and give proper recognition by introducing new voices to the world and honoring those who have made lasting contributions.” Comics of the past, present, and future will be celebrated.

The show will be hosted by Chris Spencer, who viewers may recognize from his comedy specials “The Minority Report” and “Chris Spencer, the Other Chris.” It’s less well known that Spencer also penned the jokes for some of the entertainment industry’s biggest awards shows.

Tony Roberts hosts the Inaugural Humor Mill Comedy Awards
After writing for the Emmys, BET, and more, Chris Spencer is bringing his comedic talents back to the stage to host the first-ever Humor Mill Comedy Awards. He’ll be accompanied by co-host and fellow comedian Tony T. Roberts, who you may have spotted in “Out on Parole.”
Juhahn Jones gives behind-the-scenes correspondence at the Inaugural Humor Mill Comedy Awards
Both hosts have serious comedic clout of their own and to give viewers behind-the-scenes access to them and more, the Humor Mill will have Juhahn Jones doing live social media correspondence all show long. Jones’s most recent comedy Youtube video has over 10k views.
Before the awards get started, the Humor Mill is giving viewers and comedy fans the chance to vote for their favorite comedian of the year. Nominees include Earthquake, Ms. Pat, Lil Rel Howery, Dave Chappelle, Jo Koy, and Katt Williams. Check out @TheHumorMill for more!
