Chicago’s Stop The Violence Celebrity Basketball Game

Celebrity Myxer had the honor to cover a Stop The Violence celebrity basketball game for Chicago’s west-side youth recently and it was lit! The annual event was organized by executive Dex Millions, radio personality DJ Jamal Smallz, Chicago’s very own Twista and Hurricane. This year’s emcee was funny man on the rise- T Murph. There were many music and sports celebrities in the building including music artists Lil Zay Osama and El Hitta, former NBA player Bobby Simmons, rappers Bo Deal and Stunt Taylor, radio personality Seandale of Raw TV Radio… just to name a few.

Chicago is not all about the violence you see on the media. We have people who grew up in stricken neighborhoods- organizing and giving back to youth. We have role models showing children positive events and encouraging them to do better. You can see in the video the house was packed, the kids were engulfed in the live performances with artists and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Please share this video on all of your social media to show the world what inner-city Chicago is really about.
