Celebrities With Coronavirus

Unfortunately, there are a handful of celebrities with Coronavirus COVID-19 and it saddens us to report this. However, we want to point out the resilience and positive affirmations those affected celebs have shared with us. They urge us to get tested if feeling sick, to practice social distancing and to self-quarantine if you feel sick or have been in contact with someone who is.

“Stay positive and don’t freak out.”

On Friday, April 10th, singer Babyface thanked fans for birthday wishes, however, disclosed he and his family tested positive for COVID-19. They have recovered and now have tested negative. He’s also going to take on Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s challenge to battle Teddy Riley in black music excellence. Tune into Babyface’s IG Live to watch on Saturday, April 18th at 8 pm CT.

On Friday, April 3rd, singer Pink announced on social media that she had Coronavirus and has now tested negative, overcoming COVID-19. She even ranted but the government’s lack of providing testing. Therefore she pledged to donate $1 million towards two emergency relief funds to help combat at the frontlines of this disease sweeping our globe.

On Thursday, March 26th, rapper & politician Scarface announced he has tested positive for COVID-19 in a livestream interview with group member Willie D of the Geto Boys.

On Wednesday, March 25th, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II’s son and the heir to the British throne, has tested positive for Coronavirus and is now self-isolating in Scotland according to CNN. The 71-year old The Prince of Wales is in the high-risk age group, however, he is experiencing mild symptoms and is in good health.

On Tuesday, March 24th, Rapper Slim Thug announced on social media that he tested positive for COVID-19 despite staying at home and being careful to wear masks and gloves while out.

On Thursday, March 19th, New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton, coach says he tested positive for the coronavirus. In a social media post he says he’s feeling well and ” fortunate to not have any of the respiratory symptoms.”

On Tuesday, March 17th, basketball player Kevin Durant and 4 other Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for Coronavirus. “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine,” Durant told The Athletic, adding that he is feeling fine and not showing any symptoms. “We’re going to get through this.”

On Monday, March 16, 2020, actor Idris Elba and wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba posted on social media that he has tested positive for COVID-19. In a video, he states, “I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated.” As he explains his wife Sabrina is by his side and at the time of the video has not been tested but will be. Elba further explains, “this is serious, now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that, there are people out there who aren’t showing symptoms and can easily spread it. So now’s a real-time to be really vigilant about washing your hands and keeping your distance.” He concludes his message with, “stay positive and don’t freak out.”

Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson tested positive for COVID-19. They thanked the health care professional from Down Under as they are quarantined in Australia. The couple was there filming a movie about Elvis. They updated us via Hanks’ social media– concluding “Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx” This pop culture reference from Hanks’ 1992 movie A League of Their Own; which basically says suck it up, tough through it, never cry about the circumstances.

Two NBA players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were diagnosed with Coronavirus. Since learning of Gobert’s exposure and suggestions from health officials, the NBA has suspended the 2020 season. Other NBA players include Detroit Pistons player Christian Wood, Boston Celtics player Marcus Smart, and the Los Angeles Lakers announced two players tested positive for Coronavirus.
