Hightown Season 3 Release Date

Hightown Season 3 will return on Friday, January 26, 2024. Season 3 will be the final season of Hightown.

Starz has officially renewed Hightown season 3! “‘Hightown’ is such an incredible show, and we could not be happier that it’s been renewed for a third season,” said Kathryn Busby, President, Original Programming for STARZ. “We are excited to return to Cape Cod to see our iconic characters battle their past mistakes as well as new foes in the dangerous underworld that lies beneath this idyllic setting.”

Hightown Season 2 Recap

Jackie recovered from being shot by Osito in the previous season. She also cleaned up her life from spiraling out of control due to her addiction to drugs and alcohol. As a marina police officer, she aspired to shift to being a detective with the state police. Ray had been set up by Renee, which ultimately got Frankie and Jorge out of jail and he got fired- losing everything he earned. Jackie nor Ray couldn’t let Frankie’s dirty deeds go so easily so they banded together to make a case to take him down!

Three teens got a hold of the new drugs on the Cape and overdosed from the deadly Fentynal mixture. Jackie pulled that thread and started to work her way up from small-time dealers. She pleaded with Sgt. Saintille to allow her to cross over to state police and work the leads. She was partnered with Leslie (who once was intimate with Ray), and they had a fling. When Jackie got too serious too soon, Leslie started to ghost her, and it ripped Jackie’s stability apart.

Saintille used Osito’s predicament against him now that he’s in maximum security and inmates trying to kill him at the request of Frankie. He slowly got him to snitch on Frankie to better his situation. With Wayne Grasa and his next in line, Osito, in prison, the successor ended up being Wayne’s niece, Charmaine.

She and her younger sister, Aileen, smuggled Fentynal onto the island traveling by bus then distributed their “Great White” narcotics. Frankie found out about her and became her largest buyer. He even offered to improve her transportation method by flying on a private jet rather than riding the bus.

Renee had been put in charge of the strip club until Jorge was freed from prison. He undermined her at every step, throwing her past of whoring in her face. Jorge liked one of the young dancers, Daisy, and made her his girlfriend. Though he would beat on her then apologize with gifts. Jackie got to her and made her a confidential informant, and she gave more insight into Frankie’s operation. Though it didn’t last long as Frankie found out she had loose lips and killed her in front of Jorge, advising his cousin it was for their best interest.

Renee had found out she was pregnant with Ray’s child. Jorge was advised to go to the club as an alibi and got into it with Renee. He pulled a gun on her, she pulled one back and accidentally shot and killed him. With the help of the cleaning ladies, they disposed of his body. Everyone searched for Jorge, including Frankie and the cops, even finding his car but no Jorge.

This action leads Renee back to Ray’s arms. Though he didn’t fully trust her, he surveilled her thinking she would fool him again. When Leslie cut Jackie off, she spiraled out of control and started drinking and smoking again. However, in her doped-up hazy, she got an epiphany that her C.I. was dead and sobered up to investigate it.

Although Ray and Renee were having sex, he started to gain intel about Frankie’s operation. She wanted him to save her from Frankie. Ray caught wind that Charmaine was flying drugs in and gave the tip to Jackie. They didn’t find anything because Frankie had grown paranoid and changed up their operation. He killed the pilot in front of Charmaine then dumped the body!

Ray got another tip from Renee that Charmaine was smuggling a double shipment from New York and this time, they stopped all vehicles and boats coming onto the peninsula. They caught Charmaine with the package and tried to get her to flip on her NY connect or Frankie, yet she wouldn’t.

Osito gave the location of a dumping ground where Frankie disposed of bodies. They found the C.I. and the pilot along with Jorge. Police raided and charged Frankie with the murders! He finally knew that Renee had set him up.

Jackie and Leslie were charged with transporting Charmaine to prison and she managed to escape! Thereafter, Leslie threw Jackie under the bus not wanting to risk her career. Jackie took it hard… she finally won the job and the girl, only to lose it the same day. She went back to drinking and drugs.

Ray got doubt sowed into his head when he visited Frankie who told him that Renee killed Jorge and framed him. After the stellar work, Ray ended up getting his job and rank back, but that ousted Saintille to another department. That allowed Saintille to catch a tip about the women who disposed of Jorge’s body. This leads us to the third season…

Hightown Season 3 Speculations

On Hightown season 3, we speculate Saintille won’t rest until he finds out who killed Jorge. In the season two finale, when he was transferred, he got a tip about the cleaning company that possibly transported his body. Even if they fled back to Jamacia, he probably would take a trip to gain information. For Saintille, it was about getting his old post back. And he knew Ray wouldn’t last there long.

Frankie got shanked in prison at Osito’s command. We saw him blackout but we’re unsure if he died. We think he didn’t and he will recover. He’ll get word to goons on the outside to get vengeance on Osito while he’s trying to build his operation.

Charmaine got free, will she stay free or will she disappear? We hope she doesn’t make the mistake of returning…

Ray gave Renee the opportunity to be completely honest with him. She didn’t tell him that she murdered Jorge and covered it up, but she did tell him that she was pregnant with his child. She recovered the “go bag” full of money, drugs, and a gun. In the next season, we think their relationship will erode as distrust sets in. They share a child, and it makes things complicated.

As for Jackie, there’s a possibility for her to recover her job, but that’s only possible if she recovers from her addictions…

Season 3 Official Synopsis

In the final season of “Hightown,” Jackie Quiñones, a former fishery service agent, grapples with personal challenges and is no longer part of the force. However, her quest continues as she delves into the shadowy corners of Cape Cod, seeking to rescue a missing woman and solve the murder of a sex worker.

Meanwhile, her ex-colleagues, Ray Abruzzo and Alan Saintille, are intent on dismantling drug rings. Despite their efforts, drug trafficking persists. This situation draws Shane Frawley, a Boston gangster, to the Cape’s drug scene, leading to a clash with Osito. The season is marked by shifting alliances and the reevaluation of past loyalties, set against the backdrop of a seemingly idyllic yet deeply corrupt locale.

Season 3 of Hightown is a definite must. Superb actors, great writers …

    1. Sherii says:

      💯

  2. MEAB says:

Why does Jackie not realize that drinking anything leads her directly to drug use? She needs to be cold turkey. I do see her
addiction is tied t her personal success or failures.

    1. Sherii says:

Harder said than done. Jackie is in a lifelong habit of settling her negative emotions with substances. There could also be an underlying mental health condition that interferes with her ability to cope with her emotions without the assistance of substances. There is a lot to this story we have yet to learn. And don’t forget the horrific relationship she has with her father. That alone would send anybody into a tail spin. She is most likely severely damaged from a childhood with that monster.

  3. Jackie says:

Hightown is my most favorite series! I look forward to season 3! All of the actors are fantastic. My hope is for Ray and Renee to be happy and together, also Ray has to believe the truth about Jorge . Of course it is too late for him to believe Renee…but I hope not!

    1. Cathy Bauer says:

Hightown is really good, l think…it depicts how brutel the drug can be….l assume….Except for the druggies are a little bit too clean to be believable…Except for Jackies Dad, that wanted her to make nice with her scumbaggie uncle….gross…but druggies have no scruples, when it comes to getting their next fix….l am totally addicted to Hightown…lol

Darn! I just knew that Chuleta (Dominic L. Santana) was going to turn out to be some deep-cover agent or the “Man” in NYC.
Hope you bring him back, we saw more and more of him. You can’t take him away now!

  7. Nyda says:

Hightown is so on point! I hope this show gets all the attention, to go on for many more seasons. The actors are magnificent and they play their characters very well, they’re all so relatable.
