A cab driver, Jeffie (recast portrayal by Pat Healy), returned home to learn Gene was having a drink in the kitchen with his mother, Marion. Jeffie was mute and in awe to see Gene in the kitchen, so casual and even preparing dinner. In private, Gene had a discussion with Jeffie, he was the man who exposed him as Saul Goodman last season.

Knowing that the man could potentially blackmail him or turn him in to the authorities for reward money, Gene convinced him that he would show him “the game,” and then their arrangements were over. When Gene returned home, he turned on the police scanner and then fetched a pinky ring.

After work the next day, Gene visited the security office to chat with the guard, Nick, with whom he had a run-in. The one who was pissed when he told the teen shoplifter to hush and get a lawyer. This gave him some time to chat with the head guard, Frank. He gifted him a tasty Cinnabon while he scoped out the security cameras and then set his watch timer. It took him just over 3 minutes to scarf down the treat.

The next night, the same routine, chomping on Cinnabons and sports talk. It became a nightly routine. Next, he scoped an expensive clothing store to count the steps he needed. This leads him to map out the store in an empty field and coach Jeffie on how to steal just enough merchandise within three minutes. Since the tapes are erased every 72 hours, the store won’t notice the stolen goods until an inventory count. By then, the evidence is erased!

Armani Suits, Air Jordans & Kate Spade Bags

The Lancaster store manager, Kathy Deutsch (portrayed by Kelsey Scott), got strange freight delivery and called to rectify it. She phoned the trucker’s manager, Gene, who was pretending to be his superior. She wanted the merch off her dock, yet he convinced her to leave it until the morning.

Gene went about his nightly routine in the security office while Jeffie freed himself from the delivery box. He bolted to steal the items, making several trips, tucking them inside the box. On his last run, he slipped and fell, knocking himself out! Frank finished his Cinnabon and checked the cameras, but Gene spotted the debacle and caused a diversion by sharing a sad sob story. Jeff came to and completed the mission before being discovered.

Jeff emerged from the bathroom in the morning and slipped out without suspicion. They marveled at the prize, later pondering how much they could fence the merchandise for. Gene/Saul confronted them about the laundry list of crimes they committed, which carried hefty time. He used it as leverage over the men and forced them to confirm that their deal was done.
