At the time of this analysis, China reported more than 80,000 cases and more than 71,000 cases recovered. Most cases were mild symptoms. 80.9 percent were mild, 13.8 percent were severe and 4.7 percent were critical; according to a report of the analysis of the first 44,672 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in mainland China as of February 11, 2020. Globally, recovered cases range from 35-40 percent while mortality rates suggest 4 percent of cases being fatal.
